OHHH it all makes sense now I was like that piston isn’t a stock 3.875 .590 height part number?? Finally found what I was looking for 4.475 height rod for this one! Building a stroker! 8762381B-327D-43D8-BD77-7F3776D790CA.jpeg

I know NOTHING about a stroker 5hp BUT this is 2023 and I have a phone how hard could it be?

It looks like 1986ps is 2.5625
4.475 arc/horstman rod
comet kart sells spare 2562xl ring sets
cs-13 circlips are very available and cheap!
s-567 wrist pins are very available and cheap! Isn’t there a 4.475 horstman rod for like $50 on eBay? Or $99 directly through arc? So every single part to build a stroked standard bore 5hp can be bought cheap. The hardest part is finding the piston itself?

I now am hunting a 4.475 rod preferably used.

Oh my! So I have a chromed wiseco standard bore that fits a 4.475 AND a 4.5 rod. Pictures from OMB show a 4.475 horstman next to stock 3.875 briggs rod.

Block/cam work are needed to clearance this rod.
-Rings 2562xl
-spiral lock cs-13 wiseco
-s567 wrist pin
^^^^^^^^^— All ordered so I have spares for this piston.

To get this whole deal in motion all that is left is an actual 4.475 rod. I do not have one I those (YET) and to fit it and clearance what’s needed.

Then buy
-dynocam springs
-4.475 or 4.5 rod arc/Horstman
-exhaust
-arc sidecover

Well parts gathering is near complete. And I’m still currently in the middle of selling off random bits here and there. I have the billet flywheel/drop bracket. All that’s left is 100+ lifters and an arc sidecover. DF39E74B-DBD7-4590-8055-F29B25FD57A7.jpeg4617DAFE-E751-4FB8-A1C2-08B1C6CE67C7.jpeg

Why do you need 100 lifters? Most you should need is 2.
Ahahahah I was told to weld to the lifter tip to gain what was ground off the base circle and it would probably be ok. But I think I’ll spend the money.. dynocams still has the cheapest shipping option of $35+ I’m not sure if they refund what‘s not used on shipping or not. But the cost of the lifters + $35 shipping is still the cheapest I can find them new.

I still need those 1” longer lifters.. Also I’m hunting for a Billet sidecover with a cam bearing not a cam bushing.311F3822-652F-4283-A389-54D2892C0309.jpeg
