Hello Everyone
I am new to the forum. I have a question about a hub assembley for a trailer wheel from northern tool. I want to mount a trailer wheel with a 5-bolt, 4 1/2'' bolt circle onto a 1'' live axle with a 1/4'' key. The hubs for the wheel are not keyed, so it won't mount. So what should I do, I probably cant drill a hole in the hub with the bearings. So what are my other options? Is there a hub on the market that large with a key?

Any help or advice is much appreciated

The problem is, you don't have Princess Auto- a chain of stores that has a lot of usefull goodies for this sort of thing. They are like a rural-area hardware store (lotsa farm stuff) combined with a pretty cool surplus department. You guys have Harbour Freight, which has some similarities- but I don't know f they have this stuff. What you'd be looking for is a 5-bolt drive plate. It's simply a round 1/4" steel plate with 5 stud holes in it that match your trailer bolt pattern, and a centre bore sized to fit a weld on hub. You would buy a weld-on 1" hub, clamp it to the plate, and weld together. Drive in a set of lug studs, and you're good to go. I'll see if I can find a pic or something so you can see what I mean.

Thank you. If worse comes to worse I'll have to see if I could get it shipped down here. Maybe even similar parts are down here. Nice Idea!
