Hp?? Dyno

How much hp do you think a predator 212 Hemi makes with a cl-2 cam, billet flywheel 32 degrees timing advance, air filter and exhaust upgrade. Does anyone have any dyno sheets

I dunno I’m guessing 10 hp? I got a dyno on the way that will arrive in January so I can get to testing. A good indicator/resource is NR Racing. Check out his engines for sale to get a good idea. Mild modifieds are about 10-12 hp. Modifieds are about 16ish and the really crazy ones are about 24 hp max iirc.

Not to steer you in another direction, but a few builders over at Bob's 4 Cycle have dynos and saved data from a bunch of builds.

I've seen posts where people ask how much power an engine should make and often a very similar engine has been dyno'd. I don't remember who it was. Maybe "Sneaks" over at Bob's.

Is there a value in actually knowing the specific output of an engine, or is the goal here to have something to brag about? I would honestly think that a person could conclude they do or do not have enough "power" based upon the performance experienced.
