Hi there,
I'm new here and would just like to thank all posters out there, the info on here is incredible...great source for a rookie like me.
I have a 5hp briggs motor on a go kart and it sometimes stalls out when I give it gas...there is no governor and the throttle is obviously hooked directly to the stock carb (on top of tank, no float)...I took it into a local shop and a guy told me to fix all the problems it would be best to go to a new carb (possibly motorcycle) setup with a fuel pump and mount the tank between my legs on the cart...sounds fine but I don't know what carb, fuel pump, etc to buy that will bolt on and work...any suggestions? The cart does 35 mph when it's running, is it worth replacing the whole carb/tank setup or better to just upgrade to a bigger motor with a better carb setup (i.e. 6.5 honda clone)...I'm unsure of what to do here...HELP PLEASE!
