what type of kart do u want

do u want a bomb around briggs & stratton 6 hp (the most common)

or are u after the seriosly fast on road (u need anderkart)

or the serius off road buggys exeding 1000cc (i can kinda help u there)

if u can get a 250cc engine then look at the tiapan by edge products an australian company www.edge.au.com

Welcome to DIYGK J-boy!

If I had that 250cc MB engine I would throw it in a race kart chassis, that would make on slick kart.
But, it all depends on what you want, do you want off-road capabilities? Or just a street kart? Bit of both?
Then it will depend on weather you want to build it yourself, do you have access to tools and stuff?

Jeremy.

well first of all thank both of you. i have just one question, are go karts street legal over in GA? and obviously i want mine to be FAST on the road. and i have a 2008 kawasaki ninja 250r. it was wrecked by a friend so i want to use it as a motor for my go kart. so i dont know at all about go karts but i would like for it to be able to go off road too and be fast on the street. the company Pep Boys is selling one. i just dont know if that one can take a 250r engine. so please help me.

mainly here is the point.... fast on the street but if it went off on the grass and dirt i would like for it to not break and to run through there to. thank both of you so much.
