Hello, all. This is a Bird 41553 frame I rode as a kid with an old 3.5 HP Briggs and Stratton. It's probably been sitting over 30 years. The hemi Predator has been a nice upgrade, and it started on the first crank last night.
I used to ride it out in the woods in East Texas behind my grandparents' place... my cousins and I had a track laid out over several trails and we'd race each other's times. Getting it ready now for my kids.
Challenge now will be to find some nice open fields to ride. Any tips on where I can find or how to build a suitable roll cage appreciated as well. This thing will flip, did it a few times as a kid, but that was back when no one ever got hurt...
EDIT: Just tried it, 31 MPH. Still has the governor, no other tweaks.
