Howdy friends-
My name is Rick and I stumbled across this site after recently picking up an incomplete go kart that sat at my fathers for 10 years.
I have no experience with racing karts or engines, just some basic go kart experience from my youth when my father and I would work on 3-5hp engines and vintage karts for fun. Eventually led to us selling carts to other fathers & sons at the church to play in the parking lot.
Figured this kart sat long enough and I would buy this unfinished project. Removed the 6.5hp harbor freight engine and took this picture. Motor runs and axle spins. Looking to buy some tires and brakes to finish it but figured I would give it some love by sanding everything down and painting it up.
