As you can see this is a dadilion weed enclosed in that hard liquid plastic. For the life of me I cannot figure how it was made. You would think as soon as the plastic hit the weed in would crush.

What ya think?

my thinking

Maybe a slow drip into the cube.

Hair spray or a chemical harden it.

Liquid nitro to freez it somehow.

Thats about all I can ponder.

We have one of those, and I've always wondered how it was made. My best guess is that they thinned the resin first with a solvent, and soaked the dandelion in the same solvent.

When you see one of these you always imagine the thick goo that's usually used for casting around small objects, and it makes you wonder how they ever managed it. But it would be a lot easier with a thin mix.

Worst idea yet. I bet the dandelion splits clean along the fracture line because it is encased solid and so weak. I would assume it was some how stiffened and then cast around. I'm really puzzled though.
