I was wondering if someone can tell me if its possible to start a COMET 100 cc (KPv-100?) 2 cycle motor with a large drill or an impact gun set to a low setting. If you can use a drill please tell em which one you used. I am sort of new to this so I will assume that you place the stater (drill) on the side opposite the chain drive and then let her rip? Are any owners manuals for 2 cycle engines available anywhere?

Do not use any type of impact gun, It could easily damage the bolt, nut and/or crankshaft.

If your using a kart starter: http://www.out2win.com/catalog/starters.html or heavy-duty electric drill to start your engine, you'd typically connect to the nut or bolt that retains the clutch or drive sprocket to the engine.

Here's some videos of several starting methods, but 1 other for engines without clutches is to first block the back wheels up off the ground, and then wrap a rope around the back tire, and then pull the rope kinda like starting engines that have a pull-rope start feature.
