High quality (real!) paracord works well, the stuff you find at the hardwarestore for a dollar will NOT
reason: paracord is basically thinner climbing rope and designed not to fray easily when pulled over sharp edges.
If the end is sealed (welded correctly i.e neither loose fibres sticking out nor a hard lump of plastic at the end)
it should work.
Downside:
it's terribly hard to distinguish between good and bad paracord until you hit it's limits..
(which is always "too late" to make a better decision)
So, when it's important (and not just a bracelet, lanyard or alike)
either buy at a climbing store (where you are guaranteed to get specific strengths)
or skydiving equipment... "shops where life matters!"
or in this case.. the much easier
just stay away from nylon (or synthetics in general)
