ive recently got my odyssey back out of storage, but i gotta do some playing around with it first. one problem i have is that the pull start is super hard to pull, and its way to hard, its not even normal. the compression must be super high because when i take out the spark plug its no problem to pull, and everything sounds like its turning over normally then. any advice? would there be buildup somewhere??? thanks in advance for any help!

2-stroke motor? did it fire up and run fine when you put it in storage? some history and details would help. and as always, we'd love to see some pics. :)

They're known to be hard to pull. If it been sitting a while put some 2 stroke in there and give it a few slow pulls with the plug out. Get everything lubed up. They didnt have a compression release. Eat your wheaties. Other option is to find a Goki electric start for it but those don't go cheap!(hard pulling is why) maybe get a pull cord handle off a snowmobile. If I remember right they have a T handle. Might help you get a better grip.

got the compression matter under control(put a little oil in the cylinder and freed things up a bit)but i got a problem with my brakes. its a mechanical brake caliper, and when i would pull the brake lever it sticks and wont let go. the handle will go back like its supposed to but the brake doesnt release. would this be just a problem with the brake line???
