I’m curious as to what is required to reach such speeds like 70mph+ on 20 inch chopper wheels and a 30 series torque converter.

Is the cam the most important thing? I’m assuming i’ll need to get into fine tuning the head (high CC head with port job, bigger valves, higher ratio rockers etc) is this true ?

don't think you'll ever do that with a 212. long gearing and slow long acceleration is how we do it at bonneville......seven milles later...Bingo
And at Bonneville most cars need a push start to over 50-60 mph they are geared so strongly.

I doubt a 30 Series and a 212 can get you there unfortunately. A big-block (Duromax or predator 420) and a 40 Series maybe. But you won't have very great road manners. @redflash , you go to bonneville?
