Yes this thread title is click bait.

But trying to solve wheel power on complicated kart designs. Easy to purchase electric wheels with motors built in. but waht about Gas engines built into a wheel?

I know huge single motorcycle wheels have been done. but what about a small wheel with say a 50cc two stroke motor inside?

Then you could build 4 wheel drive with 4 motors?

Okay so i guess it has been done for bikes. and almost all electric contraptions now build into the wheel.

So question is where do you find a Wheel/RIM that is open enough to stuff in a gas engine?

I'm more concerned about what happens to this guy if for some reason he's stopped dead in his tracks, and doesn't get to the brake.
Does he just go round and round inside the thing?
I'd pay a buck to watch that!

okay not sure if a electric wheel kit will allow me to stuff a predator engine inside it? I was thinking bigger. Like say a low profile car tire maybe?

Then you could build one of these.... So not a hamster ball. Although that sounds cool!

You know the more i think of it....I would need the inside of the wheel to have a planetary gear to pull this off? Otherwise crazy jack shaft placement and gear reduction to make it all fit...

..planetary would be the best option. would need to find one big enough i could use at a 6:1 ratio reduction....hmm....

...well maybe i'm crazy. :roflol:

I am crazy.

I don't know what I would build. I only pose the question how?

Men in black cycle? Mini bike with dual engines? Segway? Anything with wheels but engine built into them. Save space.
