Hey, I'm building a gokart, and have run into a problem: I don't know what the best way would be to power my 12v electronic fuel pump that I bought to run the fuel into the carby.
Any help or advise would be appreciated 😊

wrong section:
moved!

to power an electric pump you need an electric juice container or generator
AKA battery or Alternator (lighting coils on small engines)
if you have neither, you cannot power the pump.

predator 212? you're out of luck!
industrial engine w/o e-start: you're out of luck again (or need to add a lighting coil with matching flywheel)

IMHO: buy a pulse pump (much better option for a kart)

but you can always just buy a small motorcycle battery (frankly a 12V cordless tool battery should suffice too) an a switch to toggle the pump on or off.

Whats the kart/machine this is to run on?
What motor?
Why an electric instead of a pulse pump?

It's an old Suzuki motorcycle engine, not entirely sure exactly what one. So what would be the best option for a pump then??

So since you don't need it running all the time, wire it to the ignition key out and ground.
(I think red is the battery, orange the one you need as a plus black is battery minus and brown toggled ground..) but check with a multimeter.

But in order to give you sound advice we need to know what exact pump and what exact engine.

has the pump two or three wires, if three is it NC or NO, toggled by +12 or -12 ?
what's the color codes on your suzukis alternator/rectifier and ignition switch?
