Hey I'm new with go karts and I was wondering how to install a motor to a go kart body. I cant find any tutorials on it. Also how do I hook up the torque converter? Well, what motor do you want? Most 3hp to 8hp motors use the same mounting pattern, and should bolt up to the frame which had the 196cc 6.5hp motor
There is not a tutorial because it is different for every kart! However, basically what it involves is 4 x10mm (or 3/8") x 50mm or 2" bolts and 8 washers and lock nuts.
Bolt on the engine, hook up throttle, hook up clutch, ready to go.
Here is a tc and engine install for a minibike, it is similar for a kart except the spacer and clearancing is probably not needed.
