Try two pry bars from the rear - between the sheave and the block. It should slide right off.

Please don't do this.

Marshmellow,

-What model Comet CVT do you have?
-Have you removed the center bolt and movable sheave assembly?
-Have you removed any set screws for the stationary sheave's hub?
-Is the crankshaft damaged in anyway (bent, corroded, gouged)?
-What have you tried so far to remove the sheave?
-Has the sheave you want to remove been damaged (rusted, bent, sheared key)?

Really? I removed mine that way last week. It was on the original Tecumseh OHH60 mounted on my Yerf-Dog 3200. This was the first time it had been off, and the cart is a good fifteen years old. It slid right off without the need for excessive force. Are we possibly talking about differently designed parts?

Also, unless I misunderstood, he is asking about the inner (immovable) sheave. I took from his question that the end bolt and all of the other, outer pieces had already been removed. Hence my suggestion to simply pry the inner piece out.
