Me and the misses got into a car accident the other day, F-ed our car pretty good. We just put down a deposit for an '87 Chrysler 5th av. Its in MPH for the speedo. Is there/do they make a converter or replacement gauge for this vehicle. It apparently is from California.

Id rather not have little stickers on the face, Or another gauge on top of the dash.

Only thing I can think of is to source a speedo from a Canadian car. Does the american car not have Km/h in small print?

Or, just do what I did with my first car ('77 Celica, MPH speedo)- Get used to it.

Loosely,

25M=40K
30=50
40=60
45=70
50=80
65=100

After a few days, you're not even thinking about it anymore...
(Hope you and yours are ok)

The misses is going to be the main driver, I said Ill brief her on the speeds, But she'd rather have the full KPH readings.
I didnt look carefully enough to see if there was a dual reading.

...Just don't do what I did...

First day I had the car legal, I went for a run. Entered a S-curve near my place at 60. Speed sign said 60. All good.- Until I heard a howl from the rearend and I started to skid. I unknowingly entered a 60K turn at 60 MPH! I controlled the slide, but as I slid to a stop the right side tires started to dig into the soft shoulder and I went up on two wheels. Pooped myself...

You might be able to find a KH speedo at a wrecking yard, but your MPH speedo should already have a secondary set of (KH numbers) printed on its faceplate, like this pic:
