How to attach tires?

How do you keep the tires on a live axle from sliding around?

you put them on wheels.

from inside out it should be like this:

Locking Collar
Hub w/ keyway
Wheel (bolted to the hub)
bolt/cotter pin/other retaining device

There is no spot to put a bolt or pin so should i drill a hole in it?

All it is is a live axle and some tires that are meant for a one inch live axle. So I stick the tire on the axle with a key but it can still move from side to side. do i put one of these on the inner side of the tire? http://www.mfgsupply.com/4-7329.html

Again,

A tyre is the black rubber part of a wheel. The metal bit inside it is called a rim. Attached to the rim is a hub; that is what's attached to the axle. Combined, they make a wheel!

To answer your question: Yes, you need a locking collar to stop the hub from sliding on the axle & a nut on the end of the axle...
