he decided he is holding onto it not selling it. And it cant cost that much for a new head gasket if you can get a head gasket for a V8 engine for around fifty bucks. I might be wrong though.

just seal that up with silicon you can get away with it.

yeah i guess... but you know some people dont even use head gaskets.

i put together my 8 horse today and broke a headbolt but it runs fine. no leak at all.

just a thought... i ran my 160 clone with a head gasket made from a monster can for about a year. never had a problem. its around .010. not saying this is the right way to do it. but its possible. or theres a good sticky in i think the engine section that tells you how to prep your head to run w/o a head gasket although it requires a perfectly flat surface to do it on. Actually i rebuilt the entire engine for the price of rings and lapping compound(minus tools i had).

Umm, no. And I gotta tell ya- If I just paid $700 or more for an engine, only to have it fail (which it will) because some ****head used silicone for a head gasket, He'd discover just how much of that engine would fit up his hoop!
