Not sure on that ATV. But I would buy an old honda quad for that money. Or and ATC trike and ride it another 30 years.

Expect it to be trouble free for one season (maybe)....after that, it's anybodies guess.

Yeah- I gotta cast my vote for the older Japanese quad. (or trike) Chinese one is a clapshoot.

Well speaking as a person who bought two new chinese dualsports in 06 all I can say is I wish I had just bought new/used brand name bikes instead.
I spent the first summer redoing the engine mounts on ours because of the shoddy workmanship and terrible materials used.
The electrical wiring is problematic.
I did finally end up with solid decent machines but looking back I realized it wasnt worth the few bucks saved.
Although I have read that the quads have gotten a little better but I wouldnt buy one unless I could see it in person but even then with it being chinese and little to no support it just isnt worth it.
for a grand you can find a decent older quad that may or may not need much but in the end will give you far fewer problems and have much better parts and service support.
I did put an extra 200cc chinese engine I had in this old blaster.
I have less than $1K in it and it works great but it took a lot of work to get it done.
The chinese engines run OK but most everything else is junk.
I dont expect the engine to last anywhere near as long a a name brand engine would though.

friend of mine says great butt not stable he was wrecked in early motor altercation can no longer ride i would never ride one of these just because of instability

I'm going to counterpoint that by suggesting rider, ahh- misjudgement may be/have been a factor. No insult to your friend, but you have to drive for what you're driving. Anybody remember the Suzuki Samurai? I didn't roll over like they all swore I would. Why? Not taking corners like I was driving a Ferrari. I don't know what happened to your friend and I'm sorry he got hurt, but I wouldn't be so quick to suggest that chinese atv's are unstable as a whole. Food for thought.

The atv's from what I've read lately are better but people are still having problems with them, problems I'd call major.Things like having to reweld the rear swingarms and such.
