How do I turn off my go kart

I just bought a go kart for $350 it has a kt100 motor but its missing a air box and a exhaust where can I find cheap parts? How do I turn it off? Do I need to buy a kill switch?

I don't know much about the KT100's but I am assuming it's a CDI ignition system. One wire on the CDI box will be the kill wire.

PS: you just need an air filter and don't really need to spend more on an air box. The only reason guys run air boxes is when your tracks rules require them to help reduce engine noise.

KT100's usually have a little TCI box (like the pic below) that plugs into the coil. Your kill switch needs to connect to that same little black wire, and send a ground signal to kill spark.

I heard that I can turn it off by putting my finger over the diaphragm if so where is that? Another way is to just keep the brakes on it for a long time but I'm afraid that that will do harm to the motor

Put in a kill switch. You might not have time to look for "the diaphragm" in the event of an emergency. Why "rig" it when you can do it right for $5??? JMO Its a one wire hook-up , no too much simpler than that.

Use a hammer.... and smack your spark plug boot right off the sparkplug...

Seriously. your asking where the diaphragm is..?

You cannot access the diaphragm on any carbs I've ever seen without first taking the bowel off the tops.. there for, you cannot stop a engine by "blocking" the diaphragm..

Install a kill switch, its not hard. An if it is, Please ask an ADULT to help you.

hey if you dont wanna go the kill switch route and your kart is equiped with a choke just trun on the choke when u wanna shut it off n it will flood the engine n shut it off

You could rig some sort of zip tie to the spark boot so that you can yank it off the spark plug when you want to stop
