Well heck yeh, if you have the option you could dunk the whole thing on penetrating oil. I'm just sayin, that (I should have been more clear) penetrating oil will find its way.

By the way there was no malice or evil intent on my post.

My friend took it to dealership he works at, after multiple attempts by multiple techs they finally got it off... that's how stuck it was

No, sadly no vice here at home. I was trying to hold it with plyers like I did with the other end

In the past, I've used 2 pairs of vise-grips for problems like this. Clamp where you won't be putting pressure on the threads, (if your clamping on a "hollow part" reinsert the screw, rod, whatever, to prevent crushing something), then clamp the vise-grips with another pair of vise-grips or a "C" clamp to a table.

If propane isn't getting it hot enough, use some MAPP gas:

MAPP Gas burns hotter than propane. I've used this with a regular propane nozzle, however, I've read that other people have had problems with using a regular propane torch head. Give it a try, if it doesn't work, spend the $50.00 on the MAPP torch.

You can also try going to a regular garage and ask if they could heat it for you with their oxy/acetylene torch. Just make sure that they only "heat it" and not "melt it" ;)
