i hope so, the tranny im using is too short, soo, and i need an opinion on this one, i am going to weld a sprocket to each side of the trans axle, and run a chain down to two separate shafts that the wheels will connect to, this will utilize the diff in the trans, and also make the rear axle or wheel stand wide enough to make the kart stable, while giving me 6 speeds and reverse!!! :D!!! im soo happy it will work. my only concern is gettting a MIG cuz i dont wanna do stick

nice bike Ray, i thought of doing one, but having the engine facing forward, just cause im goofy that way. i got my twin from a deceased gt-18, the post is on the list go take a look at the videos, from where it started you wouldnt think it would ever run!
http://www.diygokarts.com/vb/showthread.php?t=5339 go take a look

Yea, I have seen that thread already :p

I actually did want to put the engine facing forward, That would have absolutely badass, But it was gonna take a lot more Work to do than this. I would have liked to done it though.
There wasn't enough room for me to run my clutch in line with the engine with that.

I think I would have to to run a RAGB off the crank, then run a TAV from that, to a chain drive wheel,

But then I would have to convert my bike to chain, (Which I may do that eventually anyways) but I kinda like the shaft drive right now.

Or if there was some tiny tranmission you could mate the back of the engine, and have room for it,
That would be another way to go.

I would think a trans off a tiny rwd car would work, at the school shop theres a tiny 4cyl with a small 5speed tranny and tiny rear end (small car lol). the trans is still a bit big for this engine, but its the smallest i can think of, It would a be a long motorcycle for sure.
Would be easier for a trike project.

But there has to be something though! Somewhere.

I just saw an actual motorcycle with an opposed engine turned sideways a few nights ago., Not a briggs. But If you can find a tranny of one of those, you will be golden
