Ok thanks to doc sprocket, he gave me a good idea for gas throttle. And pretty sure he explain to me how to do it, but I am kinda lost.

So anyways, I went out and got a throttle cable used for lawn mower and tried to hook it up to the gas*so my hand could control the speed.
But it snapped, so I pm doc sprocket. And he said try a brake cable * sounds like a good idea* since they are more flexable, So I have one and been looking at ways to hook it to my throttle on my 6.5hp honda clone. Any ideas or sites with a picture of steps would be great.

It's rather simple really; you feed the outer cable under the retaining bracket & the inner through the retaining pin; see the attached pic for more detail...

Just went to a local bike stop picked up the *so called retainer bolt* that they call in canada the cable bike bolt.

And a used brake lever, one question I should probably install the bolt from underneath, since it will be to long from the top?

However it fits, might have to remove a bit or remove entirety the air box to fit (not exactly a bad thing as a new filter setup helps for better performance).

I would tin the end of the cable before you clamp it down. Clean off the oil/grease with alcohol, flux well, solder about 1".

Mounting it from underneath is easiest (believe it or not); don't forget the extra washers, the metal of the throttle plate is much thinner than that of a bicycle brake caliper...

You mean solder a inch of the extra cable after poking in though the bolt?

Yes, I actually do this before I put it on the bike. It is easier to work with, and I use a small torch, so flame and gasoline is probably not a good idea.
