Hello, I got a kart that had a Honda engine on it that says 5.5hp on the recoil cover on the side and on the gas tank it says WP30x. I am thinking it was intended for use on a water pump maybe?

Anyway, I was wondering if this is the same as a GX160? If not are parts compatible/swappable?

nvm. looking at the photos it actually says gx160 in small letters over the 5.5hp label. lol. I swear I never noticed that before.

lol. I got it on a old carter cart and didn't know if it even ran. (I payed $50 for the whole thing). Couldn't pull it cause no handle, the rope was inside the recoil. Used what I had on hand to patch it up. Runs fantastic, not a puff of smoke. Still nice and strong. The briggs motor it came off of was on another carter I got for $30. I used the pull from it I think.

will do. I have 4 karts now. and a few engines. Best deal so far was my $250 Honda fl350r odyssey :) it wasn't in perfect condition or anything but all the parts were there. I am restoring it to original now.

I also got a Chinese kart/buggy that says "terminator" on the side that had no seats or an engine, with a broken master cylinder for $125. It looks exactly the same as a "kandi kd150fs". it has full suspension, hydraulic brakes, great tires. Pretty nice buggy. It came with a gy6 on it but my uncle gave me a new greyhound gx390 clone he never used once. has electric start so I am putting it on there with a comet 40 and a jackshaft to go to the original axle/sprocket. New adjustable seats were $150. Master cyl was $37. Should be a nice buggy for under $400 invested.

Both the carters were pretty old. both 2 seaters. the $30 one was a "super wheels". I mainly wanted it for the solid axle setup and it had a comet 30 on it in decent shape. the $50 one looks like it says "hot bodies" on the floor but the paint is pretty faded so the only part I am sure of is the "hot"

Got the ody from a guy I work with. rest came from craigslist.
