I think I ended up with this poor beast because I didn’t want to see it sitting there rotting away in the over grown clump of yard they were ignoring. It’s an Odyssey, or at least it was until some destructive soul decided the frame needed to be stretched and wooden blocks added for seat cross members… after that, I assume they must have snapped out of it and realized what they had done because it was simply discarded and left for dead. I know there’s some value in the parts, but I think the only parts are the front cowl and maybe the steering wheel, but it’s a little rough. I guess the front end is still intact and functional so there’s probably value there too. I’d love to see this thing come to life but I assume that requires some sort of deal with the devil, at least that’s what I would need to make it happen. Should I tear it down and sell what parts are still there? Any thoughts are welcome on this one!

It’s deserving of new life but I’m probably not capable of tackling a project like this. It would require more time, space and ability than I currently have. I like to wrench and tinker but I’m still such a rookie. Who’s closest to vermont and wants it? I’ll bet a deal could be had!

It originally had a Honda engine. Will you deliver to Indiana? Hence the Honda Odyssey. Save it for later it has great bones to build from. You could put a wrecked m/c engine on there and have a shifter kart that’s lots of fun.

I second a 420 Pred!

Cover with a tarp and keep behind the shed for now. Trust me, you will regret getting rid of it once your other projects are finished and looking for a new one.

We had an Odyssey guy here that did resto-mods and may have even done restorations with all the proper parts. His name is bighead and maybe you can look over some of his threads and find inspiration.

I think the glaring thing is the limo-stretch but sky’s the limit on powerplants and such because people do re-engine these all the time. That lawnmower seat isn’t terribly bad. Better than wedging one of those blow-molded high-back dune buggy seats in there….

Ha, ok that makes sense about the namesake. Indiana might be a bit of a trek but if the price is right I’m certainly open to a discussion. Forgive my ignorance but what’s a m/c engine?

Oh none of it is going anywhere near a scrap yard. I can at the very least work on the frame and get that back to as original as possible. From there who knows. Do you go to mini mayhem? I got a buddy I could convince to make the trip and Id bring that rotax with me. I think if I was ever to leave my house it would be for something like that.

I was just about to post the same Hellion :D. Bighead was a wizard with Ody's. He loved them and restored quite a few with lots of pics. A forum search for his threads will give some inspiration
