honda rx80r value??

So got ride from a friend on a trade, I'm out maybe 200 dollar value.. so I'm trying to figure out a price point for this honda.. runs but throttle cable is broke, (I'm headed home to jerry rig it) I want to sell and fund new go kart build... thought of turning this into a kart. But the build seems more headache then buying new an going from there..any direction would be great. .. it's a honda xr80r, 2002. And yes does have wear, torn seat etc... I do live in Alaska so things gets their use up here..

add twohundred for it being the 80cc instead of the 50cc and withdraw whatever a new seat and a proper NEW throttle cable would cost (haven't checked.. too lazy) and what'd be needed to make it look pretty again (you know fix some dents and maybe remove some scratches.. stuff like that)

and the rest my friend is just "location location location"

I'd say I bought it for 200. Fix and ride or find a kart chassis and put that engine on it.

We had an xr80 a while ago, good little bike. My suggestion is don't put it in a kart if you want a lot of power. It is just a little 4 stroke, and I cant imagine it makes too much more than 5-8 hp. Granted, you do have a gearbox. It would be alright I suppose. Get a 2 stroke dirt bike engine if you really want a kart that will go.

That would sell for quite a bit in my area, but everything seems to be expensive around here compared to the Midwest.

here's an example. That will probably sell for around $800. It looks to be in better shape than yours, so maybe in my area yours could sell for 5 or 6 hundred bucks.
