My father in law made this headrest cover in about an hour. Going to mount it tonight. It is just resting on the seat in the pics. Putting a folding shovel and axe on the top roll bar as well. In Oregon They make you carry one on a Buggy in the forrest.

Notice the gas tank mounting brackets right behind the headrest? This is why I went with this big head rest style. All sizes can ride it safe now. Also have some big seat belt shoulder pads on the way. Father in law wants to make the pads.

Also posted some new pics of the lights I put on. Go back a page to see those. Also more on what this head rest was made out of.

Looking good!

Is that the regular fl250 secondary spring in there or did you swap it for another type?

Make sure you post pics of the suspension. I am drawing up some plans right now. Going to make the blue buggy full suspension. My plan is to make and weld the suspension in before I cut the Ody frame.

The blue buggy has the ody bottom end. But has the 73 cr250 jug and head on it. She rips really good. But the crank is bent.

Got my shovel and fire ext. mounted. I bought one of those jeep roll bar fire ext. velcro mounts. I was able to loop the shovel into the straps. Nice and solid, The shovel head also doubles as a air scoop derecting air right into the fan.

Went for a test ride yesterday. This thing will blast up hills with athority. With my clutch setup top speed is about 40 MPH right now. When I get the clutches shifting right top speed will be about 50 MPH. But it gets there quick. This Ody is not fast but it is really quick. I am liking the gearing now. for I do not want to go really fasy with no suspension anyway. Perfect trail beast though. Spits rocks and mud like machine guns.

I have a vid on my phone doing a hill climb. I will see if I can get it online with my wifes help.

Some pics.

Hey bighead. You used alot of pics I have taken in this thread.
You are the guy I had planned on giving some of my Odyssey parts to.
Those parts are still in my spare bedroom.
Shoot me your address or call me.

I never found enough information on the small diameter driven clutch you have posted on here. Just know it would work great on your racer but not so nice on my restoration.

Casey, Yah I remember your offer. When I was talking to you I just got the Ody bug. I since then got 3 more. I figured I would learn on these projects before I tackle the yellow vintage racer. Summer comming so more extra funds for me. I really want to to do the yellow buggy to original restored look. Your parts will help lots.

I will call you this weekend and have a chat. Thanks Friend.
