Hi everyone just had a quick question what kinda of oil do i add to (Gear reduction case with an oil spout??? )

Gosh this pull start is giving me a heck of a time its much harder to do these then a mower pull start.Twice the size .
Old base gasket on one of the engines flaked apart is it ok to use Gasket material for the base gasket?

The gasket. I know ebay also has loads of parts for Ody's, so you could also see how much a new one might cost

my father said it was made out of graphite but looks like cardboard and my friend (his names anthony) owns 6 dirt bikes 1 motorcycle 2 chargers and 1 1972 corvette and he works on them all the time.He says i can use the gasket material because its the bottom half of the engine not were most of the heat or pressure will be but my father says no it will blow the gasket ? 
and i do not want to spend 5 to 10 on a gasket that could be made of same material gahhh

You should be able to use gasket material IMO, just not that goop you buy in a tube

Yea ive run into that stuff before on other karts it gets all over the place and make a big mess.One other question if i may ask um heh will a lawn mower shop be able to put a new rope in my pull start lol i am having a great deal of time and pain doing this yes i cut my self on a rusty part of it.Not sure when i had my tetna shot last (oh well we will find out

A mower shop should be able to do it for you. You could also see if there are any YouTube vids showing you how to do it

u an use gasket paper for sure
theres no presure in the sump
and little heat
or u can use rtv gasket sealent

ok so i got the pull start together but when i pull it the engine puffs of white smoke and runs full blast or at extremely high rpm ? does anyone know what it could be

do nt know i pulled the carb apart ? before i started it could it be i placed it in wrong ?im not familiar with the mikuni carb style im only familiar with the regular kind you find on predator engines grey hound ect
That is why I take several photos of things I take apart, so that I know how to put them back together. Have you got a pic of the carb, or a model number
