Honda GX340 upgrades?

Bought a gx 340 for a project kart im building and wondered other than the removal of the govenor which ive done, what upgrades would you recomend no matter how small

U can use a aftermarket air cleaner, header, advance the timing and install a larger jet.

how would you recommend i build up a new header?

an old trick is to put some JB Weld in the combustion chamber to increase compression, make sure you prep the the surface and mix it right! there are all these weight saving tips like using a smaller engines tappets/lifters. 160 head on a 200 (compression raise) in doing the last myself i saw that the 160 has flat bottom valves as opposed to the dished ones i was running. the 1.3 rockers are said to be shorter, but it seems to me that longer would be better: getting the air in quicker through further deployment
