Oh, it's lean, all right. But why? You said you blew the carb out with air pressure, but that does not guarantee that it's clean. This all boils down to too much air, or not enough fuel. Since you seem confident that there is no air leak, chase the fuel concept. In addition to re-cleaning carb, pull the fuel line off the carb, point it into a catch can, and turn the fuel tap on. Ensure it flows well, not trickles. If it trickles, either the inlet screen (in tank) is clogged up, or the tap.

Have you got some baby drills? I know it is probably not the correct thing, but I know these GX motors have lean stock idle jets. I upped the idle on my gx160 and 6.5hp clone, they run much better at idle! If it runs fine at high RPM this could help?

Did you clean the main jet and e tube up the hole where the bowl bolt goes in?

May do, but shall we get it running in stock form first? You could always try the new bits, and if they don't work, then put the old ones back.
Oh and whilst your at it- upgrade the POS air filter, and maybe a header?

I am stumped too- With a clean carb, stock jets and filter, and no air leak, the motor should run fine...

First, don't just randomly swap jets around. Get it running decently, and read the spark plug. It will tell you what it wants.

Next, when you clean the carb, don't just soak in carb cleaner, and/or blow out. Use fine wire to poke out all orifices.

To check for an air leak- run engine as best you can (even if it means part choked) and preferably with the air box on. Carefully spray bursts of carb cleaner around the base of the carb/isolator/intake port. If engine responds in any way to the spray, you have a leak. Needs to be perfectly sealed and therefore would not be able to ingest any spray.
