If u understand that then u must understand where we are coming

Or more than Likely u have seen videos on YouTube or read info on forums of karts doing 60 to 100

And u rightly assume this is in miles
When infact the info is from somewhere like aus where we use metric
So it's in kilometres an hour

That's still no easy task but is a bit more realistic

As for the cooler
It's not about Getting the temperate down a few degrees
It's about holding the engine in its operating temperature

Honda put a huge amout of time and budget into having the engine running at the right temperature range
Once u start messing with it u will likely upset the balence and end up with far worst results than running a little hot

Also one of the biggest points we are trying to get across is this isn't like a LEGO set where u can just keep bolting parts on and get an end result and there is no "hop up kit"
It is going to be an ongoing poject for a long time and many hundreds if not thousands of dollars
People spend there whole career working on improving and designing engines and still don't achieve perfection

We are well aware that there are "hop up kits". What people are trying to tell you is that: A) Your stated goals are optimistic at best, and B: There's a lot more to building a big HP motor that will stay together than simply bolting on parts. There's a reason pro builders get big bucks for their motors - they posess the knowledge and experience needed. There's no reason you can't build your own motor, half the fun is doing it yourself but you need a more realistic target to shoot for...

Well, this dude will not answer any questions so we can get a idea how to help him. That gives me the feeling that he is a child playing with a computer just putting us on. I will not respond to this boy's thread any longer. There are real people building real projects and I think my time can be better spent with them.

i own like 3 karts befor this, and are you telling me that if i got a stage 4 hop up kit that it would not work? i mean im kindof of confuse on that part and dont worry about the 20hp i just want to build a engine. and if theres more to it than just a hop up kit with the parts to build one that let me know i would really love to know so i can start building and getting everyhing i need. im already in the progress and getting the kart powerd coated.

You have the GX200 already, right?
And you really want to spend 500+ bucks on that??

well then, get an arc racing superbox kit:
http://www.arcracing.com/servlet/the-125/ARC-Engine-Honda-GX200/Detail
and a 14cc head
http://www.arcracing.com/servlet/the-815/BSP-Clone-Stock-gx200/Detail
get two or three timing keys (4° ,6° ,[8°]):
http://www.arcracing.com/servlet/the-574/Timing-Key-Offset-GX200/Detail
the superbox will double the horsepower, the 14cc will add one or two horses to your barn so you end somewhere around 14-16 horses

Don't forget to lapp the valves in before mounting the 14cc head (not in the video)
and: try the SMALLEST timing key first, onl if your need more top end and are willing to sacrifice low end power use the next bigger key!

And here's the installation video for the superbox kit pt1:

and pt2

another question, cant you index the spark plug for more hp or something like that?

You can do a lot of things for more horse power.. Your understanding of horse power seems to be "engine only"

Horse power will come from not only the engine, also the aerodynamics of your gokart can also affect horse power.

Drag Coefficient - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drag_coefficient

Wheel bearings and wheel alignment can also affect speeds..

Indexing the spark plug puts the open side of the electrode facing the center of the combustion chamber. On a HIGH dollar race engine, PROFESSIONALLY built, yes, it could help gain maybe a couple of HP. Is NOT gonna do anything for a kart motor.....

Not quite J; good aerodynamics, steering, weight reduction, proper gearing, etc makes better use of the available hp from the engine

i wouldnt have to upgrade my crank with that kit would i? and would it still be good to upgrade my pistin and carb for it?

The one thing I rarely see upgraded is the crank. IIRC, the stock piston is a hollow top; a flat top will give you higher compression but, a thinner head gasket will do that too; I've seen guys use double head gaskets because a flat top piston makes the compression too high.

As for the carb: If you throw a few grand at a 350 V8 for better performance, then put a stock 2 barrel carb on it YOU JUST WASTED YOUR MONEY because the carb will restrict the engine. Simply upgrading the carb, nothing else, will give you a significant power increase but, be aware, supplying too much fuel is worse than not supplying enough; let the engine tell you what it needs
