The motor is from a Tecumseh snowblower , 98cc 2 stroke. It has a old Kohler carb so I cant give it full throttle. When I got the float for the original carb it screamed and did wheelies. Then I hit a rock the size of a baseball going full speed down the driveway and snapped the frame. I gutted it out because it was dangerous and uncomfortable.

Cool. Get a suitable replacement carb and a recoil, and build something funky with it.

Oh yeah- hook up the kill switch next time for safety sake, willya? Brakes wouldn't hurt either...

i love your mini bike, but please get yourself a good brain bucket! my dad is a physical rehab doctor, many of his patients are the lucky ones who didn't were a helmet.

That's a pretty awesome bike. Do you have any idea how fast you were going?

What are you building with the parts? If you like power but don't want it to pop up in front uncontrollably, try moving the rear wheel behind the seat a little bit.

no dont do that thats no fun :)

if u had no kill switch how were u shutting the engine off?

also u dont neserseraly need brakes
it is all about thinking ahead

being on a farm iv driven many cars and bikes without brakes

not to metion my buggy still has non (it is getting some soon though)

the trick is not to get into emergency situations

it may be a bit hard in a town or city as some of the time it is other people who cause bard brakeing.

Brakes are a good thing, but I have to admit that my boys and I have been riding our mini bike without them. Our bike goes only 20 mph, which is not nearly as dangerous as 30 or 40. There's nobody else to run into, so it's not a big deal.

When we have more than one vehicle, brakes will become a bigger issue. We already have a kart with brakes, and I'm working on another bike. I can imagine my kids getting themselves pointed towards each other and going fast enough that the Fred Flintstone method wouldn't cut the mustard.
