well today i got the twist throttle all hooked up and also attached the the engine. It runs really smooth! I rebuilt the fork with more supports too, but its midnight here so ill try to get pics tomorrow! Still need to find a steel yard though...

well i finished the whole bike... it runs great until a weld broke on the js but easily fixable. I will have pictures later but the main problem i have is with throttle control. I bought the crappy cheap hand throttle grips from northern tool and was wondering if there were better ones out there. anyone know of some??

that is great, you might want to put the 14 tooth on the input of the jack shaft so you can have a much better take off or is that whats on there? I like it. great design.

Thanks guys hehe I'm 6'3 200 pounds and I like the bulkiness of the bike. T-man you think I should have 12 tooth clutch to 13 tooth input to 18 tooth output to 60 tooth drive sprocket?? Will that give me better takeoff??

If you swapped the 13 and 18 it would help.

(13/12)x(60/18) = 3.611
(18/12)x(60/13) = 6.923

So, you'll lose some speed, but with a 3.611:1 ratio, you clutch probably won't be happy for long. With a 6.923:1 ratio, you'll haul off the line.

well another update...

I did not feel safe with that old fork on there so i beefed it up with some triple trees. also added some fenders that are not welded on yet.

I still have to paint, put diamond plate foot plates and weld the fenders, clutch and chain guard, and some supports for the front fork.

ummm i wanna warn you about those jackshaft bearings.

well... they are the worst bearings ever... they are bound to give up within the first 100 feet of riding or so.....

i have ridin it for at least 5 hours and no problems yet, but pillow blocks are probably better.
