Hey, that's cool! I was thinking about trying something like that myself with a really cool 24.5cc Robin trimmer engine I got recently. Good luck, keep us posted!

Yer i did tighten the sprocket down hard now. The chain can be tightened easily but moving the engine forward as its on slits. As for the steering im just going to do straight from the wheel arms (dunno the correct term for them) to the servo arms. As long as the arm from the wheel arm to the servo arm is horizontal and i use ball joints then it wont have up/down forces acting on the servo arm resulting in it breaking. I was originally thinking of doing a real complicated design but it was to costly and the amount of linkage arms i had would of resulted in lose of servo power to the wheels.

Its getting there, very close to completion. Ill sure keep u guys posted.

What kind of servos are you using? Im thinking this might be my next project. And are you using a battery or is there a charger hooked up to the engine to run the servos?

The steering is powered by two 15kg servos and the throttle is powered by a 5kg servo.
Its all run by a 6v battery pack.

Is that yours Russ? That thing is sweet. I may even try making one to use with my spare clone. Where do you get all these lawn-boy engines?

Hey thats a nice machine, buts its not a patch on this machine: powered by a clone gx160 it would leave it sitting :roflol:

Not too sure weather it is bigger or not but it sure is some machine to go. A bit of inspiration for you Brendan
