Ill get some pics tomorrow of it.... I bought this thing a year ago, Its a baja motorsports 6.5. I got it to mess around out in the desert with. I've burned up some belts cause its got a tav2 on it and it weights probably like 550-600 with me in it. Then I decided to add some sheet aluminum to the top and sides and do some extended a arms up front for more height and travel. Well all that being said..... I'M Probably not even gonna mess with the engine now cause I just got a 20% off coupon from harbor freight so I'm thinning of getting a 13hp predator. Anyways heres a pic of the car after I did the mods above..... I can take some pics of the engine tomorrow.

Yep all Honda GX200 stuff will work on that.

Like you said though the 13-16hp clone would be a much better option. Problem is you would need a 40 series TC which is doubling the upgrade cost overall.

i was looking at the 94c or 780 series. i just dont trust the 40 series for some reason. im gonna be building a kart from the ground up and its gonna be heavier then the kart above. i want reverse i just dont know if i should go with the 13hp clone / some upgrades or try and find a 200-700cc quad engine with electric start and reverse. i think it would be sweet to do a raptor 700 and its basically got everything built into the package that i would need and want vs aa conventional kart drive train... engine-350.00, reverse box- 300.00 and cvt sytem- 500.00.. plus i would have to add an alternator to the system because i dont want the batt to go dead on a long rides. ill start a build thread once i finally figure out what im going to do. i just though i would throw my ideas up while i have this thread going.

The 40 series is quite possibly the Toughest TC out there and can handle up to 25hp no problem.

Its a great choice.

tougher then a 94 or 780??? ive done some research here and based on the speed ratios and size (belts and pullies) i think in my situation.... ~700lb kart and for long (im talking like 30 miles one way) trips up in some rocky trails up the mountains and for the the straights for higher speeds im wanting something with a lower low range and higher top speed and a little more ruggid like the 2 i mentioned u know.

If your building a big heavy off-road kart and want reverse, I'd suggest buying a used quad and stripping all the parts you'll need. If you can find a nice one that was wrecked (bent frame) but still runs/rides, you'll be getting all your parts at a bargain price. I'd avoid the chinese made quads, and stick to any of the major name brands.
