Got mine too..... Here lately, I've been stopping at the atm before I go to Home Depot...... Better safe than sorry..

lol I use a debit card and out of the millions of people that use home depot i doubt im one of them maybe my email but they do not have my password

I've heard of several different versions of this call in/email in/write in question and answers session, where the caller is freaking out about how to protect themselves from the hacker's when they use their (whatever) form of electronic payment; apparently being told that they could always use cash money insites massive amounts of panic because they don't seem to remember how to do it........

If anyone else can link with the details of those stories, that would be awesome.......

We had a similar situation here a year or two ago at Woolworths (large supermarket chain not affiliated with F.W. Woolworths); my bank contacted me & "enlightened" me to the situation & sent out a new card...

It's just as easy to scam but, a little harder to get any money out of; the scammers will do a small transaction first ($1.82 or something odd like that, check you recent statements for a strange card transaction). Once the small transaction is successful, they will then try a larger one...

Yea really no differant

They try this all the time with my parents farm account

Like a few times everyday

But the bank has systems in place to stop it

They try a small transaction
Then a bigger one

As far as I was told the system is designed to not only work as a wall but as a seek and destroy
So once a small transaction is though it flags it
If the same person whos not on the regular transactions list tried it again the computer sends a return kill shot
Basically screws them with a very large powerful virus

Then finds them and stores all the relivant info incase the cops want it
