So decided to dig some test holes in the center of our track, instead of around the edges which was all bedrock. We found about a 20sq ft area of pure clay down to about 3 ft deep!! Elation would best describe our feeling. So we graded the existing track and started humping that orange gold by hand! Check her out! Ps all you one wheel wonder guys where do you buy your drive wheel hubs and parts from???

We did before when it was rough just ended up breaking and fixing karts more than racing em lol. Come to think about it not breaking karts all the time may not be as fun. Its quite a blast wrenchin on the lil buggers

Haha yea every spot we checked it was shovel one inch into the ground and then solid bedrock. So i was like screw it lets check the infield. There it was about a 10*30 area of mostly clay. Some bedrock to dig around but not too bad. Heres the glory hole lol. About quadruple the size of the earlier posted one

Its just a big rock outcropping that runs thru town and the top of my backyard. Most of the area around here isnt like that. They must have shipped in the clay to build the old tennis court that is now the racetrack cuz its nowhere else in my yard

Wow just took the first test run on the resurfaced track. With our newest kart and oldest motor that only has the spark arrestor removed. Sweet baby jesus is the track fast. Omg. I never thought id say this but it may be almost too fast. Especially for four karts. Handguard need to be built on the framr for sure. Opening day will be interesting....

It is too much fun. I will have to make a yt channel. I have some old race vids to compare the new ones too. The amount of speed weve gained is insane. Its a 1/20th mile track or so and we must have shaved 4 secs off old lap times which were short to begin with lol. And avg track speed has to be up 4-5 mph. Which on something like this... Oh man hang on
