Hi we my friend and i decided it would be fun to transplant a street bike motor in a go cart frame. Well we picked up a (from what i believe is a full suspension) odessy for 50 bucks, but from reading around there are not many around, and none looked like this one. So im hoping i can get some help identifying it because it needs some parts...

thanks.

the front suspension looks like ody250, the steering wheel is. the rear is done up like ody350, but isn't. it has potential, but will need quite a bit of homework. the regular ody 250 weighs in at 450, this thing is probably already there without the engine. i would almost say to salvage what parts you can from this and build you another chassis. it looks like they may have cut up a kart frame and welded it on top of an ody chassis. do you have any other frame shots?

Um I do not have any more pictures, and its at my friends place so i cant get any currently. We want to keep the frame as it it, but ya some weight reduction will need to be done. It looks like it could been modded for racing. It came with a ninja 600 motor that would run if we had the $300 ignition box. We have another one in on the list.

try ebay, sometimes they can be had for pennies, others, near new price. if it is an ody frame, the serial number should be on the top left of the rear section of frame. it may be covered in paint. the motor is worth way more than 50 if it will indeed run.

Ya we checked it out and the motor should run, it turns over easily. and the oil was clean. We are guna try to sell it whole or part it. But i have been looking for the part to make that run also.

I would definitely get the CDI that it needs, check ebay. That would make a mean kart engine.

Thats a pretty sweet frame, $50 was an awesome deal, especially with the engine. The front end is cool, very unique trailing arm design.

Cool!
