joining up today, just thought it would be a good idea if i ever had any Q's about my kart. Im 15 and bought an old frame from a freind of my dads, who welded the thing up himself back in the 80s. It took about a month of (expensive) trial and error, but im so glad i put it together. Go karts rock! its pretty bare bones though (see the pic), and im in a metal shop class this year, so i was thinking of maby making my own frame with some more goodies. looking forward to talking with y'all soon!

P.S. any suggestions for the new Kart? im not looking to spend a ton of money on it, but thats about my only limitation as of now

mostly a gravel/dirt environment, theres this place called the stump dump nearby me where the town stores gravel in huge piles, with old pavement underneath. its closed most of the week too, so i dont have to worry about getting run over by a frontloader when im there:ack2:

just brainstorming here, would something like this work?

the engine would be mounted to a solid horizontal bar right behind the seat, and also on the axle. the leaf spring would mount to the same bar as the egine behind the seat, as well as the end of the kicker for a rollbar.
