Welcome, and Awesome kart.
Post pics of what you have questions with and our team of eggspurts will be able to help you.
Looks like you have a good start already.
Do you have an engine for it?

Looks like a ……….. wait for it ……Carter Brothers kart, but prefer more photos to be certain.
Hope you didn’t pay too much (since I see just one wheel).

No engine yet. I picked it up for $40 on marketplace. I was thinking a harbor freight 212. It's just something for my kids to buzz around on. Front end works. Needs pedals and linkage replaced. I'll post more pics Monday when I have time to start on it. I have several questions. Thanks for replying, don't be too harsh in my lack of knowledge plz.

You came to the right place. We don’t know too much either. But we have saved many parents and grandparents over the years. And as eggspected you will become an eggxpert. Then we eggspect you to stick around and eggspectorate and egg knowledge your new found eggspertise.

God, I hate eggs! Is it time for my meds yet? Where’s my drugs!!!!

A Harbor Freight 212cc Rotaderp would be a good choice. Pedals and linkages look fine albeit rusty perhaps--easily cured with sand paper either manually sanded or with an electric tool.

$40 is a great price. Did it have 4 wheels and tires?

Start a new thread in Go Kart Discussion or Photo Gallery/Project Log, post a billion pics (you can upload 10 photos per post) and ask away. You can continue to post in your new thread as you move along. Here on DIYGK we don't look down on beginners nor do we exalt the experts. Watch out for the sarcasm! :cornut:

:welcome2:

Lol man idk, I may have got in over my head. I have the frame sanded down and painted. I made a seat. Got front tires. At that point I was feeling good.

Now I'm stuck on the rear axle. Pretty frustrated and honestly I don't even know the right questions to ask

Lol man idk,
From now on, I’m gonna bump all threads like this that sort of fizzle out. Wow, welcome back :cheers2:

Is the axle stuck on the frame and won’t budge? Looks like a live axle kart that has the axle enclosed in tubing…. but it looks like square tubing (they usually use round). Edited to add: this forum knows frustration and I have tons of projects that stopped due to a speed bump or “analysis paralysis”.

Those front wheels are killers! Those are hand truck wheels and unsafe to use.
Hey now, don’t be so negative. This guy is a Harley man and he knows risk. 😬
