Hello all,

My name is Brian and I am the proud owner of a new-to-me Fox (Manco) Vortex with the Subaru/Robins 169cc. I will have some pictures up tomorrow.

I have enjoyed reading, learning, and lurking this past week and have already replaced the piece of stainless steel wire used for throttle cable with some bicycle brake cable ($5 from my LBS) AND ordered a new Honda CT70 carburetor for it since the bowl is leaking and the new carb + cone filter were cheaper than the rebuild kit. I have a few other questions about dome other issues but will start a separate topic.

I am looking forward to being a part of the community here, and have even claimed my place on the map!

Small engine addiction portal indeed. This is like Pinterest for go karts - I read a couple complate build threads and attain this strange sense of accomplishment like I contributed wrench time to it...

It is nice to read a complete build thread from start to finish. The ending is how you attain "closure". I've read enough of incomplete rebuild/refurbish/build-from-scratch threads to know they leave an empty feeling in your soul.

That's like reading a novel and discovering the last page has been torn out. That's the way life is though. People lose interest or lose interest in contributing or just don't get back online to complete what they started.
