Hey, I just joined up. I'm a total newbie. Not only on this forum by a newbie to go karts too. I will post a picture of what I recently scored and maybe you guys can tell me what I have and what the possibilities are.

Thanks
Roger

This is a deuce coupe that I scored with a bunch of other unrelated stuff. I don't know where it was made or the scale or anything. It's fiberglass and in great shape. Since I have a full size 32, I like this little guy a lot! I would like to make a miniature rod with it. I don't know where to begin looking for stuff though.

Anyone care to comment on it? Thanks

Very cool!!! Do a nice, traditional hot rod with it. The whole "rat" thing is waaay overdone. Comet to think of it- Since you have the running boards and fenders, why not build it to look factory stock?

ya a stock body with a modified engine and nice hot rod wheels.

Do you think this is a standard scale and are there chasis, wheels and engines available that would work?

I don't think I would want an actual functioning engine but who knows. Like I said I'm a newbie at this.

Greetings, Roger. :)
From what I see, that body must be a 1/3 scale rod for some RC chassis.
But you can certainly do a nice kart out of it, if you want some ideas I'll be glad to help out.
Best of luck with that project and like toystory 4wd said, keep it pure. ;)

After looking at the link you gave me I instantly fell in love with the Cobra Daytona, the Ferrari P4, the Porsche 934, the Sauber C9, the woman with the dogs, the lathe, the Viper and the frames in the wall... what a garage! :D

Hey Roger, welcome to the forum.

I'm not a Ford man myself, but there were certain cars that just had that look about them; this is one of them.

IMO: this would look great as a miniature replica of your "full size" car

Yep it's the little deuce coupe and it's iconic. Thats why I grabbed it.

My 32 is a panel delivery body that I run as a highboy. But yes I would love it to be finished. I have to find some running gear for it.
