Hello everyone,
Names Robert but I go by @bikelifejonesing
Currently im building a custom golf cart with a 2004 YZF-R1 Motor(1000cc) producing around 180HP.
I'm on this forum because I'd like to ask if there is a go-kart axle that is at least 35" wide and could handle this kind of power as I am going to be adding a live axle and I'm looking to find the right axle either from a kart or a 4 wheeler...

Welcome! Now we're talking! Completely insane idea. I'm guessing you'll need a high end racing ATV axle, how you support said axle in a golf cart will be the puzzle. I assume you are not wanting this axle to be in suspension? Probably exponentially complicate things if the axle can move up and down.

Sell that electric diff and get one made for gas.
I'm trying the same concept you are. I have an ezgo and a 125 2stroke I want to mate.

180hp will destroy any OEM part of a golf cart drivetrain. The more I think about it, the composition of the axle is one of your minor concerns.

It will be insane! But I haven't decided on the suspension between the cart and the axle.

If using the 4 wheeler axle which I currently have a Yamaha banshee axle it has a unit shock mount which would need to mount to the motor chasis cage and then the cage bushing mounted to the cart frame. but I was thinking of using pillow block bearings to go around the axle on the ends close by the wheels to connect shocks to the cart in the back. Not sure yet though???
why would adding shocks on the axle complicate things?

Going to be adding disc brakes from 4wheeler hubs and suspension in the front...
Reinforcing the frame with steel or heavy duty aluminum...

Going to build a cage around it mounting to the motor mounts on a somewhat of a swing arm which runs under the banshee axle towards and out the back. the pillow block bearing should mount to that long swing arm. In theory
