Welcome to the forum. If you can't do anything to the carburetor, then you probably need to try a different one that will allow you to richen it up. Sounds like you need more fuel.

Sorry, no I really don't know much about this style of engine. It is called a
GY6 engine and I know that there are hop up parts available for them. If you were to Google GY6 go kart engine I am sure something would come up.
Also there are a few members on here that are informed about them. Just haven't chimed in yet.

These powerplants were/are designed for scooters in general.
They typically set them up lean as hell for EPA and economy.
Messing around with the airbox or the exhaust will certainly affect mixture.

Riveted carb bowls, shouldn't be a big deal?

Auto choke, you can get a conversion kit to manual enricher, I did that.

Electric accelerator pump? Have no clue
Electric fuel pump? Some scooters use a fuel pump, most carts have gravity feed
Accelerator pump? They don't normally have accelerator pumps.
They do often have a decelerator valve on the side of the carb.
Also called a anti-diesel valve.
Shuts off fuel when engine stops to prevent backfires.

A new carb can be had for pretty cheap.
Go to the scooter suppliers
But again, you will likely need to richen up whatever you get.
Go to scooter forums for guidance on that.

Welcome to the nut house! That cool copper adapter you made may be screwing with you too if it’s allowing the carb to ice up. Hey, I live in Northern Indiana too!
