hi can i use this hydraulic hand brake kit for a 8hp kart?

hi guys im gonna start to build this kart and was was think will this brake system be strong enough to stop a 8hp tony style kart ? it says up to 150cc ?

It would work pretty good. Use as big a disc as possible for the most stopping power. The 150cc refers to an ATV/ATV engine , not go kart....

yeah and thoQse atvs are like double the weight so if they can stop an atv that weights 500lbs then i think itll handle a 200lb go kart ?

I agree with @firemanjim ^^^.

The calipers are intended for a specific rotor size, so you are doing well to get the cylinder, the caliper and rotor from a working setup and make your retrofit from there.

The hand lever brake cylinder has a tiny bore, so it will not push a large volume of fluid. The caliper will have a small piston and smaller brake pads to match, but it should work ok on a lighter kart with a light rider.
