I wouldnt cut a nail with that pice of crap.Buy a 10",12" or 14" then you could put different blades on for different uses.

Every time i want to buy a too i do some research.Check the reviews on the product page or do a google search on reviews.

i bought a hitachi 14" chop saw from HD or lowes, cant remember. was $100 works great, makes cuts way better than an angle grinder.

i considered HF but did the little extra to get name brand.

you have to look at the reviews for HF. The 2 HP one has 3 stars and many negative reviews. Of course, HF tools aren't the best. The 3 1/2 HP 14" cut-off saw has 4.5 stars, which is much better. There are more positive than negative reviews. If HD or Lowes has a better price for a name brand, then obviously get those. If you're running on a budget and have to stick to HF, I'd get the 3 1/2 HP saw. (actually, I have it. It works well.)

The older 2HP's are great. I've had one for a couple years. Still works great. I've tripped the breaker a few times and had the motor pouring out smoke... but it keeps on going! probably switched motors on the newer models. Shame.
