I sent messages to all 4 sellers selling these at 69 bucks.
Asking them How is this possible,
to good to be true,
Is this a scam?
Also telling them I am interested but apprehensive.

No Response.

You would think a seller would respond to a potential customer.

It's unlikely a cinder block since in my case, the seller shows he is in Idaho but the shipment is coming from a very small town in South Carolina that just happens to have a Harbor Freight distribution center. As such, it's almost certainly being shipped directly from Harbor Freight.

The most likely scenario is they are using stolen credit cards as someone has already posted or Harbor Freight's computer is misapplying a coupon or something of that nature. If it's stolen credit cards, The real question is if they were indeed obtained improperly what will Harbor Freight do since the only person they really have the information for is the person to whom they shipped the motor.

Another question comes to mind, and that is of mark up.
When buying in bulk such as HF does, what does one think they pay per engine?

Obviously, there must be a pretty fair profit margin when they normally sell them at $119, and sometimes discount into the $90's, and can still come out ahead.

If I had to guess, I would say they pay around $50 -$60 per engine.

I have yet to receive a tracking number nor have I gotten a response from the seller via eBay message. I made notes on the purchase and contacted eBay. I got the sellers Phone number. I will call you, I will find you,...

They said I have to wait until the 15th to start a "Did not get item" claim.

I have several tracking numbers for engines, but I won't be bragging until they are safely stowed in my garage. The jack I bought at the same time however, appears to be a no go.

The jack was the first thing I bought, now says shipped, but the listing is nowhere to be found, removed by ebay, and tracking never moves beyond info sent to shipper.

I don't know where my engine is, but I know the phone number associated with the eBay account is from Virginia.
