I bought two blues at the parking lot sale at harbor. I have never owned one of these and so I went out today to give it a test. Lubed up the blue, filled up and gave her a yank. Started up after the second pull.

First impression: not bad at all! Sounds like it runs fairly clean and smooth. Still don't know what I'm gonna do with them, but I for sure want to modify one a bit. Now I truly understand why those that own them like them so much.

Yes they are a great engine. Steven ("mr. mini chopper parked in my garage") picked one up for 99 to strap on to that project, and I've got some picks i'll post of our tear-down we did of it.

Kibble- if nothing else, on the left side of the carb(s) there's an idle mixture screw behind a black square plastic plug. Pull the plug off with a pair of needle nose, and then adjust the mixture for best hot idle. You'll find it helps a lot with the off-idle stumble some of these motors have. Congrats on your Blue Terror purchase(s)!

Yeah, I did notice that the motor Idles really low to the point where it starts going pop..................pop...... pop....

and every time it fires, it jerks upwards. Opening up the throttle helps and it starts running smoother again. I figured it was just an adjustment issue, but I haven't played with it much, I just wanted to turn it on.

I would, but I bought them for experimental purposes and upgrades. They're the only two engines I have right now that I can actually attach a normal clutch to, all my other ones have funky shafts and aren't easy to do much with. If I decide to sell one, I'll let you know.
