Turned what screw out, and why? That thing shoulda been set up from the factory to run just fine. If it didn't it's a warranty claim. You paid for a properly running engine, you are entitled to one.

ok confession time. right before it started acting up while the throttle was surgey i moved the linkage connected to the throttle arm and it reved high then (im not sure if i killed the engine or if it just died) it started acting up. at first i was like maybe it sloshed the oil up too much.so i disconnected the sensor and tried it but nothing changed.

What oil did you use? Check the bolts that hold the carb on. Mine were lose and making the engine run like crap. You never know they may be lose and sucking air. Did you bend that linkage rod?

Well, mixing the 2 really isn't that bad. It would be just a little thicker than suggested, but I can bet some people run 10w-30 in these engines with no ill effects.

ummm. problem solved? i just went outside and i tried every thing. and as i was getting every thing together to take it back i went to turn off the fuel then i noticed it moved real smooth.(wich it hasn't been doing)then i move it back open and choke it and pull and it fired right up. took the choke off and it ran fine and when i throttled it up it wasnt surgey any more.

i assume it wasn't getting fuel? but when i cleaned the carb bowl yesterday there was plenty of fuel in it.

what do you think happend?

Always run a little bit of Stabil in the fuel. Todays ethanol blend gas is pure garbage for small engines and is causing alot of mower shops headaches. I sent a few mowers out from work last week and 3 of them had almost a quart of water in the fuel along with other clogs. These are new products.. not old poorly maintained mowers.

I recently added some SeaFoam to my tank because my dad's friend said the same thing, Slide. The newer gas mixes absolutely trash small engines. His friend does motor repair, anywhere from weed eaters to cars/trucks.
